The Laurie Berkner Band Welcomes Brady Rymer

Acclaimed Bassist Joins The Band In 2013

Children’s music superstars and preschool television favorites The Laurie Berkner Band have welcomed bass player Brady Rymer as a new member of the group.

A 2009 Children’s Grammy Award nominee, Brady toured and recorded with RCA roots-rock band From Good Homes for thirteen years before parenthood expanded the scope of his music to include young and old alike.  Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could have released six acclaimed children’s albums and toured across the country.

Says Laurie, "I am so thrilled that Brady Rymer has agreed to join the Laurie Berkner Band!  He is a wonderful bass player, singer and songwriter who already has many devoted followers of his own music.  I've really enjoyed working with him in the past both as a performer and as a musician on A Laurie Berkner Christmas and now I feel so lucky that he is going to share his warm, inviting and super high energy with us on the stage and in our future projects.  What a perfect new addition to the band!"

Says Brady, “Last year I filled in at a few concerts with Laurie and her band.  We all had so much fun playing together, so when they asked me to become their bass player I said sure, sounds like fun to me!  I love the energy of the concerts, the music we put out there, and I get a real kick out of being a part of these sweet, uplifting shows.   I look forward to meeting and getting to know all the big and little fans as I tour with the band.  It already feels like one big dancin’, singin’ foot-stompin’, rip-roarin’ family!”

Adam Bernstein, the band’s bassist from 2008 – 2012 has moved on to pursue other musical endeavors.  He is performing in many “adult” concerts under his own name, as well as with Jonathan Coulton and many others.  Adam is also releasing a children’s album of his own, Big Kid, Little Kid in May.  You can find him on Twitter: @iamthebassman and on his website, www.adam-bernstein.com.
